I walked into the restaurant without any prior research, thinking, "I'll have a drink with some grilled fish as a snack..." Ordering was convenient with a tablet device that supported Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. What surprised me was the drink menu! There was only "draft beer" available!! They didn't offer any soft drinks at all!!! This place purely serves set meals with grilled fish and rice cooked in a traditional pot. I enjoyed a draft beer with Salmon Belly, Grilled Beef, Pickled Daikon Radish, and Hijiki Seaweed as snacks. The Salmon Belly was fatty, perfectly grilled, and very delicious. The restaurant was very clean, and the service for both drinks and food was quick. On this day, many places in Japan were experiencing a ‘severe heatwave,’ and the restroom was extremely hot…
This place serves only 3 kind of fishes that are grilled differently. Mackerel, Red Fish and Salmon. I went there with my wife and was happy to note that the restaurant is filled with locals. We ordered a Salmon Belly set and a Red Fish set (miso). Both are fresh and well prepared and tasty. The fishes are 5 stars for the amount they are charging and each set comes with generous serving of side dishes. The red miso soup is a surprise as it is cooks with tiny shellfish. I am a big fan of grilled fish and will try to visit again in the next few days. The fishes
Very nice small cosy restaurant. Very pleasant, friendly staff and nice, well presented dishes. Very reasonable prices. One drawback was the 8.30 pm closing time, which they should consider extending to at least 9pm.
Small cosy Japanese eatery which is popular with locals. Came here for lunch with friends. Enjoyed ordering their lunch bento box which was good value. Only one staff on the floor and customer service sometimes lacking but overall good experience.
