Absolutely loved this hidden gem. Found on the second floor of the basement (B2), this restaurant was just very subdued on the outside. But inside had a cozy environment. I only came here because I love maitake mushrooms and I've never had them on udon. So here I went. And this place delivered. The waitress and the chef(?) both were friendly and immediately knew we did not know Japanese and handed us an English menu. The food came out swiftly. Portions were perfectly sized. The noodles were the perfect texture, chewy, but not disintegrating. Soup was hearty, but still light. And the maitake mushrooms, oh my lord, they were the star of the show. Sad that I'm only traveling to Osaka. Otherwise, I'd be coming here daily. Definitely a must try if you haven't had a good udon or are a little udon-curious. If I'm ever back in Osaka, I'd be sure to visit here again :)
A hidden gem nestled in the station's basement, easily missed but worth the find. Despite a queue of locals, service was impressively swift, with staff efficiently taking orders while customers waited. The udon was a revelation - impeccably fresh, bursting with flavor, and boasting a delightful texture. The soup was a highlight, delivering a satisfyingly rich taste and adding an element of fun to the dining experience. The soft-boiled egg was flawlessly cooked, complementing the tempura mushroom and noodles perfectly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and the portion was so generous that it was a challenge to finish.
