Was it pricey for yakitori? Yes Was the experience worth it? Absolutely! Every dish/skewer was delicious. Got the chicken uterus as an add-on. It was little pouches of warm yolk. Chef offered complimentary curry rice at the end but we were too full to try. Limited seating. Reservation is a must.
Dining at Yakitori Ichimatsu was an amazing experience that I highly recommend trying! To start, the location is very convenient and the restaurant is in an area where various modes of public transport are available. As for the restaurants atmosphere, the restaurant is very modern and clean - so there are no issues with that. The staff are very friendly and informative, to the point that they will try their best to translate the dish names in your preferred language so that you can have the best experience. They are also very accommodating to personal requirements and more. Lastly, the food is absolutely amazing. The restaurant serves many classic Japanese items such as yakitori grilled chicken and spring onion that are of course delicious, but on the other side, very innovative yet great dishes. An example of this is the dry-aged chicken or chicken ham that they served which I really enjoyed! Overall, this was an amazing restaurant experience and I highly recommend you trying it if you’re in Osaka!
Right downtown in Osaka, this place represents everything exceptional about Japanese cuisine. The seasonal dishes served were all delicious, an array of chicken cuts from the Yakitori grilled to perfection, a surprising raw egg taster, the eggplant and cauliflower dish was superb, as was the local duck dish cooked very rare in local herbs. The chef patron was there throughout, everything was local and of superb quality, and all described perfectly. I loved the place, a large counter experience, everybody was happy and the service perfect in an Osaka fashion. Suspect a Michelin star sooner or later, let's hope that doesn't spoil it !
Didn't really know what I was in for here and went on a reccomendation and found it incredible. From the first to the last bite everything had you thinking and amazed. Staff were really accomodating to my lack of Japanese and explained everything the best they could. Excellent.
