Ōta-juku is another preserved post station on the Nakasendō, known for its well-maintained historic streetscape and the Ōta-juku Nakasendō Museum. Visitors can walk along the old highway, viewing restored buildings that once served as inns, shops, and stables. The museum provides context on the role of post stations in feudal Japan. The area feels less touristy than some other post towns, allowing for a more contemplative experience of Edo-period travel culture.
