Nariai-ji is a historic Buddhist temple belonging to the Tendai sect, situated on the slopes of Mount Nariai overlooking the Sea of Japan. Founded in the 8th century, the temple complex includes a main hall, a pagoda, and several sub-temples set amid ancient cedar trees. Visitors can explore the serene grounds, admire the traditional architecture, and take in the breathtaking panorama of the coastline and the Tango Peninsula. The temple is also known for its connection to the legend of the 'Nariai-ji no Kannon,' a revered statue of the goddess Kannon.
