Palazzo dei Trecento stands proudly on Piazza dei Signori, its crenellated facade and Gothic windows a testament to Treviso's medieval civic pride. Built in the 13th century, it originally served as the meeting hall for the Council of Trecento (the 'Council of Three Hundred'), the city's governing body. Today, the palace is used for exhibitions, conferences, and cultural events, but its exterior remains a must-see landmark. The ground floor features a portico with columns, while the upper floors display frescoes and a large hall. Visitors can admire the architecture from the square, and occasionally enter during special openings.

  • Study the Gothic windows and crenellations on the facade

  • Look for the coats of arms of former podestà (mayors) on the walls
  • Check if the interior is open for temporary exhibitions
  • Combine with a visit to the adjacent Palazzo del Podestà
