The SS Principessa Jolanda is a fascinating dive site located just off the coast of Sestri Levante. This steamship sank in 1907 during its maiden voyage, and its wreck now rests on a sandy seabed at a depth of about 15-20 meters. The ship is remarkably well-preserved, with its hull, decks, and even some machinery visible. Divers can explore the wreck, which has become an artificial reef teeming with marine life, including colorful fish, octopuses, and corals. The site is suitable for intermediate divers due to some currents, but it offers a unique glimpse into maritime history. The clear waters of the Ligurian Sea provide good visibility, making it a memorable underwater experience.
