Perched high on the hills above Manarola, Volastra is a quiet farming village that feels a world away from the bustling coastal towns. Its narrow lanes are lined with traditional stone houses and terraced vineyards that produce the region's famous Sciacchetrà wine. The main attraction is the panoramic terrace near the Church of San Lorenzo, where you can gaze across the entire Cinque Terre coastline from Riomaggiore to Monterosso. Volastra is also the starting point for several scenic hiking trails, including the path down to Manarola through olive groves and vineyards. Visitors come here for a peaceful escape and to experience the authentic rural character of the Cinque Terre interior.
