The Ponte di Tiberio (Bridge of Tiberius) is a Roman bridge spanning the Marecchia River in Rimini. Constructed between 14 and 21 AD under Emperors Augustus and Tiberius, it is a masterpiece of Roman engineering. The bridge features five arches made of Istrian stone, with robust piers and elegant proportions. Remarkably, it is still in use today for pedestrian and light traffic. Walking across the bridge, you can admire the original stonework and the views of the river and city. It connects the historic center to the Borgo San Giuliano district, a colorful neighborhood with medieval charm.
