The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro is a pilgrimage site perched at 612 meters on Mount Leto, overlooking Rapallo and the Ligurian Sea. The sanctuary is famous for its 16th-century icon of the Virgin Mary, which is said to have miraculously appeared to a local peasant in 1557. Visitors can reach the sanctuary via a scenic cable car ride from Rapallo, offering breathtaking coastal views. The complex includes a church, a small museum, and a café with a panoramic terrace.
