Bravio delle botti is a thrilling annual event in Montepulciano, where teams compete by rolling heavy wine barrels through the town's steep, winding streets. The race takes place in August, reviving a centuries-old tradition that celebrates the town's winemaking heritage. Participants, dressed in medieval costumes, push barrels weighing up to 80 kilograms along a challenging course from the lower part of town to the main square. Spectators line the streets, cheering and creating a festive atmosphere with music and food. The event is a unique blend of sport, history, and local culture, offering visitors an unforgettable experience of Tuscan tradition.
