Castelmuzio is a tiny, tranquil hamlet perched on a ridge in the Crete Senesi, offering some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Val d'Orcia. Its main attraction is the 12th-century Church of Sant'Andrea, a Romanesque gem with a simple stone facade and a serene interior. The village itself consists of a few winding lanes, a small piazza, and a handful of stone houses adorned with flowers. Unlike its more famous neighbors, Castelmuzio remains largely undiscovered, making it a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon stroll. From its belvedere, visitors can see rolling hills, cypress trees, and distant hilltop towns. The lack of tourist infrastructure adds to its authentic charm.
