Monterosso railway station is the primary train hub for the Cinque Terre region, located in the largest of the five villages. It serves as the entry point for most visitors arriving from major cities like Genoa, La Spezia, and Pisa. The station has two platforms and is equipped with ticket machines, a small bar, and a tourist information office. From here, travelers can easily catch regional trains to the other Cinque Terre villages, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, and Vernazza, as well as to nearby towns like Levanto and La Spezia. The station is just a short walk from Monterosso's old town and beach, making it convenient for day-trippers. During peak season, it can be crowded, but frequent trains help manage the flow.
