Manarola railway station is one of the most picturesque stops on the Cinque Terre line, nestled between the sea and the steep hillsides. The station sits at the edge of the village, just a short walk from the harbor and the famous pastel-colored houses. Trains arrive frequently, connecting Manarola to Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso. The station itself is small, with a single platform and a tunnel leading to the village. As you step off the train, you're greeted by the scent of salt air and the sound of waves. The station's location makes it a convenient starting point for hiking the scenic trail to Corniglia (part of the Sentiero Azzurro) or for exploring the village's narrow alleys. The view from the platform, looking out over the sea and the terraced vineyards, is a highlight in itself.

Don't miss

  • Walk from the station to the harbor for iconic views of colorful houses.
  • Hike the trail from Manarola to Corniglia (part of the Sentiero Azzurro).
  • Photograph the sea view from the station platform, especially at sunset.
  • Visit the small church of San Lorenzo, a short walk from the station.
