The Balio Towers are a pair of imposing medieval towers that once formed part of Erice's fortifications. Located near the Castle of Venus, they provide some of the best panoramic views of the town, the coast, and the surrounding countryside. Visitors can climb to the top of the towers for a 360-degree vista that includes the salt pans of Trapani, the Egadi Islands, and on clear days, even the mountains of North Africa. The towers are well-preserved and offer a glimpse into the military architecture of the Norman period. The site is often less crowded than the castle, making it a peaceful spot for photography and reflection.
