Nuraghe Palmavera is a significant archaeological site dating from the Bronze Age (around 1500 BC), representing the nuragic civilization unique to Sardinia. The complex consists of a central nuraghe (a tower built with large stones) surrounded by a village of circular huts. Visitors can explore the main tower, which originally had two floors, and see the remains of a meeting hut with a stone bench. The site offers insight into the island's prehistoric society, with its sophisticated dry-stone construction. Located about 10 km from Alghero, it is set in a tranquil landscape of olive groves and Mediterranean scrub.
