The Church of the Transfiguration stands atop Mount Tabor, built over Byzantine and Crusader ruins. Its design features two distinct towers representing Moses and Elijah, who appeared with Jesus during the Transfiguration. Inside, the apse mosaic depicts the Transfigured Christ in glory, surrounded by luminous gold. Visitors can explore the crypt, which preserves remnants of earlier churches, and step onto the terrace for sweeping valley views. The church is a focal point for Christian pilgrimage and prayer.
