The Tralee–Fenit Greenway is a flat, traffic-free route that follows the bed of a former railway line, making it ideal for cyclists, walkers, and families. Stretching about 14 kilometers from Tralee to the fishing village of Fenit, the path winds through lush countryside and along the coast, with panoramic views of Tralee Bay and the Slieve Mish Mountains. Along the way, you'll pass salt marshes, sandy beaches, and the ruins of an old railway station. The greenway is well-maintained and surfaced, with benches and picnic spots for resting. It's a popular local amenity for exercise and leisure, and the Fenit end offers a beach, a marina, and a pub for refreshments. The route is mostly flat, making it accessible to all fitness levels, and bike rental is available in Tralee.
