Tragumna is a beautiful sandy beach located about 10 km southwest of Skibbereen, on the Wild Atlantic Way. The beach is backed by grassy dunes and offers a long stretch of golden sand, perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. The water is clean and generally safe for swimming, with lifeguards on duty during the summer months. The beach is also a great spot for walking, with coastal paths leading to nearby headlands offering dramatic views of the Atlantic. The area is relatively undeveloped, with only a small car park and basic amenities. It's a favorite among locals for its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty. The beach is also a popular spot for surfing and bodyboarding when the swell is up. Birdwatchers may spot oystercatchers, gulls, and other coastal birds.
