The Al-Askari Shrine in Samarra is one of the holiest sites in Shia Islam, containing the tombs of Imam Ali al-Hadi (10th Imam) and Imam Hasan al-Askari (11th Imam). The shrine's golden dome and twin minarets dominate the skyline. Visitors come to pray and pay respects, experiencing a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The site was heavily damaged in bombings in 2006 and 2007 but has been restored, symbolizing resilience.
