Sanchi Stupa No. 2, located on a separate hilltop, is one of the earliest Buddhist stupas in India, dating to the 2nd century BCE. Unlike the Great Stupa, it is less crowded, offering a peaceful atmosphere. The stupa is renowned for its beautifully carved stone railings, which feature elaborate medallions and floral motifs. Inside, it once housed relics of important Buddhist monks. Visitors can explore the site at their own pace, enjoying the quiet surroundings and the detailed stonework that reflects early Buddhist art.
