Janaki Setu is a modern road bridge that crosses the holy Ganges River, connecting Rishikesh's main town with the quieter eastern bank. Visitors can walk or drive across to enjoy sweeping vistas of the river, surrounding hills, and the iconic Laxman Jhula in the distance. The bridge is a popular spot for photography, especially at sunrise and sunset, when the light paints the water and sky. It also provides a convenient route to nearby ashrams and temples on the far side.

Don't miss

  • Panoramic sunrise and sunset views of the Ganges and hills
  • Photography opportunities of the river and Laxman Jhula
  • Easy access to eastern bank ashrams and temples
