Puri Beach stretches along the Bay of Bengal, offering a wide expanse of golden sand and gentle waves. It's a lively spot where visitors can watch fishermen haul in their catches, take camel rides, or simply relax. The beach is especially popular at sunrise when the sky turns vibrant hues. Each November, the Puri Beach Festival showcases local culture, sand art, and seafood. The beach is also a site for the annual Chandan Yatra, when deities are taken for a boat ride. Food stalls serve fresh seafood and local snacks like 'chungdi malai'.

Don't miss

  • Watch the sunrise over the Bay of Bengal from the beach
  • See sand art created by local artists, often featuring mythological themes
  • Taste fresh grilled fish and prawns from beachside shacks
