Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is one of Delhi's most revered Sikh temples, distinguished by its gleaming golden dome and a large holy pond (sarovar) in the complex. The gurdwara commemorates the visit of the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, who served the sick during a smallpox epidemic. Visitors can participate in the langar (free community kitchen) that serves meals to thousands daily, regardless of faith. The serene atmosphere, with hymns echoing across the marble courtyard, offers a peaceful retreat from the city's bustle.

Don't miss

  • Experience the community langar, serving free meals to all visitors
  • Walk around the sacred sarovar (pond) for a meditative experience
  • Listen to kirtan (devotional hymns) in the main prayer hall
