Pallivasal is a quaint village located about 8 kilometers from Munnar, famous for being the site of Kerala's first hydroelectric project. The Pallivasal Hydroelectric Project, commissioned in 1940, harnesses the waters of the Kundala River and is set against a backdrop of rolling hills and tea plantations. Visitors can view the dam and power station, enjoy the serene atmosphere, and take short walks along the river. The area offers picturesque views of the surrounding Western Ghats, making it a peaceful retreat from the busier parts of Munnar.
