Visited in Sep 2024 Ekaa currently has a “Kingdoms” themed menu going in where the courses are inspired by the recipes of some famous ancient kingdoms/dynasties from history - across Asia, Europe and South America. This whole concept gives the dining experience a nice touch. There are 10 courses overall and for non-vegetarians the overall dining experience is a good mix of meat and non-meat courses. I really liked the taco course and the desserts. The Indian kingdoms themed courses frankly felt a bit disappointing to me. For drinks, I went with a couple of cocktails. Ekaa has its own cocktail bar too. Overall, Ekaa is a pretty decent restaurant but I am I personally didn’t feel it to be an AsianTop100 restaurant. There are so many fine dining establishments I’ve visited this year across Asia which were so much better. For folks who have dined at other Top100 places need to temper their expectation a bit while visiting Ekaa.
Drinks were excellent. Meal was full of detail and whimsy. Overall very fun. Only complaint was that it took 3 hours. But every bite of the 10 courses was delicious. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
An exceptional experience food and service. Barramundi with split wheat rice , spiced aubergine and pumpkin volute, belly pork with bone broth with bone marrow with masala exquisite bone broth. One of the best starters ever in sourdough with mashed aubergine and a grated Parmesan . We met the chef and she was fabulous.
Ekaa serves a food experience. We ordered a tasting menu and each course had a beautiful story and was great tasting. While each dish was excellent, I loved the simple flavours and textures. The ten course menu was complemented by the choice of cocktails and wines. Highly recommended for the ambience, service and the food .
