I visited restaurant. Ate Nihari here. Nihari was good. Taste was authentic , Delhi type. Tanduri roti were also perfect. Current Owner is third and fourth generation of founder. Sanju Baba chicken is over hyped. I would recommend to eat Nihari or Nalli Nihari here.
"Noor Mohammadi Hotel & Restaurant: Avoid! Had the Nalli Nahari. Mutton was raw and tasteless. Chicken Sanjubaba was also disappointing. Small portions for the price. Instagram Reels seem fake. Don't waste your time or money here."
Went to this place (Noor Mohammadi at Bhendi Bazar) on the 12th April 22 evening, it had sparse occupancy as Roza was yet to be broken. A friend and i ordered takeaway- Nihari, Halim Paya soup, paya masala and phirni. I carried my stuff back to distant Borivali and my two kids and I sat down to eat perhaps three and a half hours after the stuff was packed. Had got packed two portions of Halim. One container was three quarter full while another was filled to the brim. Opening it got a sour smell. Tasted off too.Had to flush it down in the toilet. Felt disappointed that there was either a thought to fob off something not quite right or an unfortunate slip / lack of quality control. I had mentioned Borivali and they would know a person would not spend an additional 4 hours to travel to and fro to make his point. The other stuff was quite nice but this thing pulled down the experience from very good down to middling. See the cost of 1 halim was like 15% of my total bill but instead of a great feel i was left with a sort of disappointment. Will i go there again? Maybe 50-50.
Noor Mohammadi Hotel is located in Bhendi Bazaar, Mohammed Ali Road Mumbai Maharashtra India It's one of the oldest and very famous restaurant/hotel in Mumbai & this restaurant mainly known for their Non-Veg food specialists. Their Chicken and Mutton dishes are so much famous not Only in India but In foreign also. Chicken Sanju baba is one of the dish which is so much famous and recipe of that dish was given by Bollywood Superstar Sanjay Dutt. Noor Mohammadi famous dishes are:- Chicken Sanju Baba, Chicken Hakimi, White Chicken Biryani, Nalli Nihari, Resami kebab & many more. I tried out Chicken Hakimi & Chicken Sanju baba, Chicken Hakimi is so buttery and Excellent in taste. Chicken Sanju baba is good but not that much tasty (because of sweetness). Chicken Hakimi cost me Rs.300 (for half), Chicken Sanju baba cost me Rs.100 (for half) Tandoori roti - Rs.10/pic Service is Average Food is good in taste Ambiance is Excellent . Timing- 10AM- 12PM (night)
