Recently i took a trip to Kolkata and i was highly recommended to try this place for some authentic Bengali thali. Honestly, i wasn't disappointed. The food however on a slightly sweeter side was full of flavours! The appetizers were the highlight and lip smacking good. The mains were slightly sweet for our taste but packed with flavours for sure. The desserts is where the real Bengali essence punches in. There was something for everyone from misti doi, rasgulla, sandesh to even crispies to balances out the over sweetness. The ambiance had the old Calcutta charm with recorders and trumpets used as decor and music too would sway you into their golden era. The only thing thay would pinch would be the price. Per plate is about 1600+. Also, this might vary on days. All in all, it was a great place to indulge in some authentic Bengali food.
Vegetarian Food Review: we ordered the Kali Bari Aloo Dum, Chana Dal and Matar Luchi along with Daaber Sandesh. Would definitely recommend trying this place. It’s on the spicy side but the flavors of the Aloo Dum were lovely. Lovely food. The service definitely needs to be worked on and also the temp of the place. My mom loves the place so I was eager to try it. Looking forward to maybe trying more of their dishes soon. A bit more flavor to the Aam Panna would have been better and also in Luchi.
Food was fantastic.best Bengali cuisine we love the food and Ambience aiburobhatq special they will give something special . The lady receptionist was very helpful Thank you all we visit again.
Visited with 5 member group on 25th December for a lunch. Horribly bad reception by a girl at the counter. Misbehaves with male person exploting the customers that "you are charging on me, I am just an employee", when she has been softly spoken to . Other customers in the que too mentioned that the girl has misbehaved with them also. Such persons ruin the reputation of the organization to people and such gender biasing should be reported against in Men's Rights Association The waiters are equally bad tempered and misbehave by saying "who has let you enter , we will not clean the tables and let you sit here". Its only after standing there for a long time, they had to clean and make the table available. What a fantastic welcome!!! My request to the management please employ people who are worthy of good service, and to look into if you are running with short of manpower. We will not accept a brand named with Rabindrath's poem being a Bengali emblem to be such remorseful and horrible face value. I will personally not visit this place anymore and will not recommend any of my known people to do so. I have given rest of my feedback in the feedback form, hope that is being looked into.
