The Duladeo Temple, also known as the 'Bridegroom Temple', is one of the finest examples of Khajuraho's southern group. Dedicated to Shiva, it is renowned for its elegant and refined sculptures, particularly the numerous apsaras (celestial nymphs) and celestial beings that adorn its walls. The temple's spire and mandapa are intricately carved, with figures appearing to dance and float. Unlike the more explicit carvings of other Khajuraho temples, Duladeo focuses on grace and beauty, making it a favorite for those interested in artistic detail.

Don't miss

  • Graceful apsara sculptures in various dancing poses
  • Intricate carvings of celestial musicians and divine couples
  • The elegant, well-preserved spire and mandapa architecture
