✨ Highlight[Late review] Visited in Jul 2024 A visit to Avartana was on my to-do list for sometime as it has constantly featured in the Asia Top 100 restaurant list for the last couple of years. There are quite a few menus to choose from. We went with the Anika menu which provides a very good coverage of the different courses the restaurant has to offer. Every menu has a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option. The number of courses in the Anika menu is a bit of the higher side and I’d recommend trying it only if you’re very hungry. All the courses were good and the dinner was quite well paced. The dishes provided a wide myriad of flavour profiles which is a treat to your taste buds. My favourite courses were the lobster, shrimp & coriander dumpling, and char-grilled pork belly. Service is really good and you are constantly attended to through the meal. We had a flight to catch later in the night and the restaurant staff ensured that our dinner was done within a couple of hours so that we could leave for the airport in time. Overall, Avartana is a fantastic restaurant and you should definitely go if you’re visiting Chennai.→

✨ HighlightTeam Lunch Review: Sangamithrai at Feathers Hotel, Porur Yesterday, our team had lunch at Sangamithrai, located in Feathers Hotel, Porur. Here's my take on the experience: *Ambiance: 5/5* The ambiance was, as always, excellent. The decor and setup created a warm and inviting atmosphere. *Cuisine: 4.5/5* The cuisine was good, with a focus on traditional dishes. We enjoyed a variety of authentic Tamil Nadu cuisine, including: - 5 Rice Paniyaram - Beetroot Kola - Manatakali Soup - Parupu Sadam The taste was excellent, and I appreciated the effort to serve traditional dishes. *Non-Vegetarian Options* Although I didn't try the non-vegetarian dishes, I noticed that the restaurant offers a range of options. *Pricing: 3.5/5* While the food was delicious, I found the buffet to be expensive compared to other options. *Service: 2.5/5* Unfortunately, the service was not up to par yesterday. Hopefully, it was just an off day. Overall, I would recommend Sangamithrai for its excellent ambiance and traditional cuisine. However, the pricing and service could be improved.→

✨ HighlightFriends and family get together on a Sunday evening. This is a perfect place for a food outing. Food is delicious and a great treat for non veg lovers. Grill chicken and honey prawns are awesome. The service part is poor, we have to wait for a long time to place an order. Waiting for waiter makes us the real waiter. It is hard to find the waiter once we place an order. If we want to add something to the order we have to wait for long time. It will be great, If they could add few more persons to take order. We were 15 in number and we got a discount.→

✨ HighlightSeashell Restaurant offers a promising seafood experience with a variety of cuisine options, though our overall experience was mixed. The **ambience** is great—well-lit, spacious, and welcoming, though often crowded. Located conveniently in the center, the added juice bar at the entrance is a nice touch. The **hospitality** was commendable, and the staff were attentive. We explored a range of dishes: - **Soups**: The Spicy Chicken Soup was flavorful, and the Chicken Herb Soup felt unique and refreshing. - **Starters**: Dragon Potato was tasty, while Veg Sheekh Kebab and Achari Paneer Tikka were average. The Lahm Meshwi was good, but the Squid Tawa Fry was just okay. - **Seafood**: BBQ Lobster had an excellent presentation but was pricey with a low portion size. Fish Finger and Namak Fry were delicious, Tandoori Prawn was okay, and Crab Lollipop stood out. - **Main Courses**: Shanghai Crispy Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken, and Chicken Bolognese were all great! Peri Peri BBQ Chicken was good, and Paneer Butter Masala paired well with parathas. Mutton Rogan Josh was satisfying, though Mushroom Tikka and Aloo Mutter Masala were just average. - **Pasta & Fusion**: Penne Rosa and American Chopsy were delightful highlights. While the presentation and service were impressive, a few dishes had issues and had to be replaced. That said, the restaurant is well-maintained, and despite some inconsistencies, it was a good dining experience. TIP: Best to visit during non-peak hours for a better experience.→

There was ample parking space, the staff were polite, and the food was tasty to the core. Loved the menu creation, easy to have a balanced meal here. I think I’m going back after about 10 years :) went in train and got down in Triplicane station. It was walkable distance from station . About 10-15 mins of walk. Traffic is crazy on the way while walking . Ofcourse went there for breakfast . Service was average .. there was one guy per row of tables .. guy was working hard but it’s too many tables per waiter . Space was also less . They closed the other side and made it tough for public . Idli Sambar was just awesomeeeeeeee ! No words for their quality . Price was also not that high. Very nominal price . ✨ HighlightI recently visited BBQ Nation in T Nagar with my team for lunch and we had an average experience. We booked for the 12-2.00 PM slot. Only a few tables were occupied at that time, still they delayed the starters. The potato fry wasn't crispy and the honey chicken arrived late and wasn't juicy enough. Main course was okay but the Russian salad tasted good. Service at the live counters was slow and limited. The dessert section - Gulab Jamun, fruit custard were good. For ice cream, toppings were limited. The ambiance was lively and suitable for team outings, but the overall experience was let down by the food.→

✨ HighlightI’ve visited this place twice, and both times were enjoyable. The food was quite good, especially the green curry, bisibelebath (custom order not on menu) and the options on the kids’ menu. However, the service could use some improvement - on attentiveness. The ambiance was pleasant. I’d consider visiting again, especially if there are good offers on Swiggy (which we used).→

✨ HighlightDescent haunted theme restaurant, like the atmosphere inside as it has that spooky feeling. Starters are very nice, freshly prepared, served hot and spread is good. Service however is bad, we booked a 12 afternoon slot via Swiggy. Restaurant Only opened door at 12.15. And buffet was ready at 12.55 so really late. Even after that it was more than reasonable wait for next starter to come after first few were served. Main course has limited options, but it's ok considering after starters you don't need a huge spread. Desserts again are limited, we didn't have all the items mentioned in the menu so felt it was really short of options. Overall worth an experience for the theme and taste of food, the price is reasonable too but service needs to get better and again they need to respect the time they mention online on Swiggy/zomato.→

✨ HighlightWent for a lunch buffet with my almost adult son😄 Except for sushi and a beautiful array of salads, the rest of the meal is just run of the mill. Starters are just non starters... quite below par. The main course south Indian varieties were unique and pallate friendly and north indian ones were , though common ones still tasty. The pan Asian fare was once again unimaginative. Dessert segment was huge but somewhat ordinary and would remind one of the numerous barbeque joints in the city... Huge number of items but no variety ... All cream and flour based items... Instead of so many items ( which only look good for decorating the counters but mostly not cherished by the diners) , they can restrict to 5-6 really good varieties ( e. g. Rasmalai, moong dal halwa, basundi, rabri with malpua etc for the Indian segment, and creme brulee, tiramisu, churros with cream/ ice cream, ice cream cake, fruit creme etc. ). I had once visited this restaurant during middle of 2023 ( and again now in December 2024) and I somehow feel that the standard has slightly gone down though prices have increased ( at least for buffet). ✨ HighlightI've always been a fan of Buhari biryani—their biryani is incredibly flavorful, and I love all their non-veg starters. The ambiance is perfect for family lunches or dinners, and you're sure to have a great experience every time. The staff is courteous, and there's never any delay in getting your food. They offer different seating options, and while it's usually crowded on weekends, the service remains smooth. My family and I often make it a weekend routine to relax at Shenoy Nagar Park and then enjoy a delicious dinner at Buhari. While I found the Death by Chocolate a bit too sweet for my taste, everything else has always been top-notch. The pricing is slightly on the higher side, and I've noticed they've reduced the portion sizes recently. Despite this, the quality remains consistent. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal! Also, it is easily accessible by metro, just 2 minutes walk from Shenoy nagar metro.→

✨ HighlightNo comments, simply waste. We ordered tomato soup, which was just hot water. The service was polite(3 servers only) but they tell us that it will take time to prepare our orders. We waited for an hour but the main course was not prepared. The ambience was quite good and neat with the tv playing isaiaruvi songs which was overlapped by loud music from the restaurant by pool side. The starters were soggy, not fresh, okayish in taste. Even in dine out offer it is not worth. The beverages ordered do not come under dineout offer.→
