Perched on the highest point of Santorini, Pyrgos Kallistis is a beautifully preserved medieval village that rewards visitors with a quieter, more authentic experience than the crowded towns of Oia and Fira. Its labyrinthine alleyways, traditional Cycladic architecture, and the ruins of a Venetian castle at the summit create an atmosphere of timeless charm. From the castle, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the island, from the caldera to the Aegean Sea. The village also houses several small museums, art galleries, and cozy cafes tucked into its terraced slopes, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon of exploration and photography.
