The Tegelberg Cable Car is a popular attraction near Füssen that transports visitors from the valley station in Hohenschwangau to the summit of Tegelberg mountain at 1,720 meters. The ride takes about 10 minutes and offers sweeping views of the Bavarian Alps, the Ammergau Alps, and the lakes below, including the Forggensee. At the top, visitors can enjoy a restaurant with a terrace, hiking trails for all levels, and a paragliding launch site. In winter, the area becomes a small ski resort with slopes for skiing and snowboarding. The cable car operates year-round, making it a versatile outing for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The summit provides a unique perspective of the nearby castles, especially Neuschwanstein, which appears tiny from above.
