Alpsee is a pristine, crystal-clear lake nestled between the famous Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles in the Bavarian Alps. The lake is surrounded by lush forests and offers a peaceful escape from the crowds. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely 3.5-kilometer walking path that circles the entire lake, providing stunning views of the castles and the surrounding mountains. Rowboats and pedal boats are available for rent during the summer months, allowing you to experience the tranquility of the water up close. The lake's emerald-green waters are exceptionally clean, and on a calm day, the reflections of the castles on the surface are breathtaking. Benches and picnic spots are scattered along the shore, making it an ideal place for a relaxing afternoon. The trail is mostly flat and suitable for all ages, with several access points near the castle ticket booths.
