The Berghof was Adolf Hitler's alpine retreat in the Obersalzberg above Berchtesgaden. Today, only the foundations and a few walls remain after Allied bombing in 1945. The site is part of the Obersalzberg Documentation Center, which provides extensive exhibits on the history of the Nazi regime and the Berghof's role. Visitors can see the remnants of the terrace, the garage, and the access road. The museum features photographs, documents, and artifacts that contextualize the site within the broader history of National Socialism. The location offers sweeping views of the Alps, which Hitler used for propaganda. The adjacent Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) is a separate attraction but often visited together.
