Place du Capitole is the vibrant heart of Toulouse, a vast open square that buzzes with life day and night. Dominated by the magnificent Capitole building, its neoclassical facade stretches across the eastern side, featuring eight marble columns and the famous Occitan cross. The square itself is paved with red brick, a signature of the city, and is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops. Visitors often gather here to admire the architecture, enjoy a coffee on a terrace, or watch street performers. At night, the illuminated facade creates a magical atmosphere. The square also hosts markets, concerts, and festivals throughout the year, making it a focal point for both locals and tourists.
