La Forêt des Singes offers an unforgettable encounter with Barbary macaques, one of the few monkey species that lives in a free-roaming environment. Located on the Causse de Gramat near Rocamadour, this 20-hectare wooded park allows visitors to walk among the macaques as they climb trees, play, and interact in social groups. The experience is immersive and educational, with informative signs and staff on hand to explain the monkeys' behavior and conservation status. Unlike a zoo, the macaques are not caged; they choose where to go within the park, making each visit unique. The park also participates in breeding programs for this endangered species.
