L’Avant Comptoir in Paris is a charming wine bar and restaurant that captures the essence of French culinary culture with a modern twist. Located in the vibrant Saint Germain area, this cozy spot offers a delightful tapas-style dining experience, featuring exquisite small plates that highlight both land and sea. A good place to take a load off and get off your feet in Paris. Bartenders were nice and spoke good English. It’s a cozy spot which is nice. I wish they offered cocktails or at least had more beer options but that’s just not their market.
When you come to France, you must try the local wine. The French like to drink red and white wine with their snacks. This is their daily routine. Locals who eat after 9 o'clock like to have some wine and snacks before the meal. What a beautiful place! If you want to experience this kind of life, I highly recommend you come here. This is a great store. Recommend suitable red and white wines for you. The food is exquisite and tasty. This is a great land-based meat snack bar! The foie gras, carpaccio and aspic were impeccable. By the way, their other seafood snack bar is right next door, highly recommended!
4 of us bellied up to the small inside bar right in front of the servers/bartenders. 15 mins wait to place drink/food order…another 25 mins waiting and still no oysters…had a reservation elsewhere so we couldn’t wait…cool convivial place, great concept but didn’t work for us
Hit both the winebar and then next day the resto next door. The winebar is small and narrow and as long as it isn’t standing room only as it was in a previous visit when we decided to go elsewhere on this occasion seats at the bar were available and the food and wine product immediately demonstrated why the popularity. The follow on lunch the nectar day was just perfect with each dish again demonstrating in loud clarity why this bistrot stands out. Winelist ample with both accessible and trophy choices available though the strength is clearly the food product and the atmo.
