From the moment we walked in until the first step outside, we had a wonderful experience. The service, ambience, and of course food - all just amazing. The wine list and sommelier were great additions to a perfect evening. The dishes were awesome, starting with amuse and ending with some light and delicious desserts. They accommodated one dietary need without issue and the service was spot on. The tempo/timing were great, we never felt rushed, we wanted to enjoy it all, but never sat with dirty dishes for long. New cutlery for each tasting and we had a bottle over the tasting for the wine, which they were great to help us with. The feel and approachability are great and for someone looking for a nice treat and wonderful meal, this is a great choice.
Amazing place, cosy with just the right number of tables and seats (ask for a seat at the « bar » and you’ll have a direct view on the chef and other cooks). The food is obviously wonderful (Michelin star) and with a twist with some « smokery » dimensions for some dishes. The chef and all the staff are very friendly as well !
Substance is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you feel the attention to detail and passion for food. The tasting menu was extraordinary each dish was a work of art, blending unique flavors with perfect presentation. The service was impeccable; the staff was knowledgeable and took the time to explain each dish, which added to the experience. The wine pairing was spot-on, enhancing every bite. It’s definitely a splurge, but every euro spent is worth it for such a memorable evening. If you’re a foodie visiting Paris, Substance is a must-try!
My husband and my 22-year-old grandson who is learning to be a chef were with me and this place could not have been any better. We were so delighted with the beauty, The service, the presentation, and the delicious beautiful food. The tasting was an adventure! In addition, my grandson was invited to go into the kitchen and speak with the chef there. It could not have been any better for any of us. Thank you everyone for the most special special day.
