Véroncle Gorges

The Véroncle Gorges, located just a short drive from Gordes, offer a striking natural landscape carved by the Véroncle River. This narrow canyon features towering limestone cliffs, lush vegetation, and a series of historic water mills that once harnessed the river's power for olive oil production and grain grinding. A well-marked hiking trail follows the gorge, passing by the ruins of these mills, including the Moulin de la Bouva and Moulin de l'Étang.
