Hôtel Baudy is a historic landmark in Giverny that began as a boarding house for artists in the late 19th century. Run by the Baudy family, it became the social center for American painters who came to paint in the village, including John Singer Sargent, Willard Metcalf, and Theodore Robinson. Today, it operates as a café and restaurant, retaining its charming period decor with wicker chairs, floral tablecloths, and walls adorned with reproductions of works by artists who stayed there. The garden is a lovely spot for a meal or drink, shaded by chestnut trees. Visitors can also see the former artists' studios and a small museum room with memorabilia. It's a perfect place to rest after visiting Monet's garden.
