Courchevel 1300, commonly called Le Praz, is the original village in the Courchevel valley, sitting at 1,300 meters. It retains a charming, authentic Alpine character with stone buildings, a church, and a village square. Unlike the purpose-built higher stations, Le Praz has a year-round community feel. It offers direct access to the Courchevel ski area via the Le Praz gondola and is also the site of the Courchevel Olympic ski jump. Visitors can enjoy local restaurants, a small market, and easy connections to the rest of the Three Valleys. The village is a favorite for those seeking a more traditional French mountain experience.

Don't miss

  • Historic village center with traditional Savoyard architecture
  • Le Praz gondola providing direct access to the Courchevel slopes
  • Olympic ski jump (Tremplin Olympique) visible from the village
