Le Brévent is the highest peak on the western side of the Chamonix Valley, rising to 2,525 meters (8,284 feet). It offers arguably the best views of the Mont Blanc massif, as it faces the entire range directly. The cable car ride from Chamonix takes you to the summit in two stages: first to Planpraz (2,000 m) and then to Le Brévent (2,525 m). From the top, you'll see a sweeping panorama of Mont Blanc, the Aiguilles de Chamonix, and the valley below. The area is also a popular starting point for hiking trails, including the Grand Balcon Sud, a scenic path along the mountainside. In summer, you can enjoy paragliding, mountain biking, and via ferrata. There's a restaurant at the summit with a terrace offering breathtaking views. Le Brévent is less crowded than Aiguille du Midi but equally impressive, making it a favorite for photographers and nature lovers.
