Such a nice dinner! Our last night in Tallinn and it was a great meal! Super cute place, very warm and welcoming, especially with the wooden ceiling and charming decoration (loved the ceiling lamps!). Extremely friendly and efficient staff, they really are the best. The food was also excellent: shrimp tempura, shrimp pasta (no mussels available today) and grilled salmon. And their twist on the traditional Estonian dessert was just to die for, amazing! Highly, highly recommended! It’s in a touristy place but doesn’t feel touristy or cheap at all, it’s a great restaurant and you should definitely try it out 👌
Our tour guide recommend this and it didn’t disappoint Nestled right on Tallinn’s historic Town Hall Square, Kaerajaan beckons with its vibrant charm. The dining room, adorned in colorful traditional motifs, sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. Our adventure began with an unexpected twist: Estonian sushi crafted from wholesome barley instead of the usual rice. The result? A delightful fusion of flavors that left our taste buds dancing. But the real star of the show was the Snack Platter for Two. Picture this: a rustic wooden board laden with an array of tempting appetizers. From crispy cheese balls (with a satisfying crunch and a hint of saltiness) to garlic-infused rye bread strips, each bite was a revelation. Shrimp tempura made a surprise appearance (not exactly Estonian, but oh-so-tasty), while battered chicken nuggets reminded us of carefree childhood days. And then there were the breaded Baltic herrings—served cold, their delicate flavor a nod to Estonian shores. Accompanied by two local cheeses, olives, pickles, and creamy dipping sauces, this platter was a symphony of textures and tastes. While some items played it safe, the cheese balls and Baltic herring stole the spotlight. Simple yet satisfying, they transported us to the heart of Estonian cuisine. Service? Warm and welcoming. Prices? Surprisingly reasonable for such a prime location. Kaerajaan, where tradition meets innovation, invites you to savor the best of Estonia. 🌟
Charming atmosphere, excellent professional service, faultless food. The duck and and tenderloin were both tender and delicious.
In the square and I think one of the better restaurants . We had Fish And Chips which was very good (no mushy peas of course), Service excellent
