Altar de la Patria is a marble mausoleum located within the Puerta del Conde, a historic gate and park in Santo Domingo. It contains the remains of the Dominican Republic's founding fathers: Juan Pablo Duarte, Francisco del Rosario Sánchez, and Matías Ramón Mella. The site is a national shrine, where visitors pay respects and learn about the country's independence struggle. The surrounding park, with its green spaces and monuments, offers a reflective atmosphere amid the city's bustle.
