Golden Horns of Gallehus

The Golden Horns of Gallehus are exact replicas of two ornate gold horns from the 5th century AD, discovered in 1639 and 1734 near the village of Gallehus in southern Denmark. The originals were stolen and melted down in 1802, but these replicas allow visitors to appreciate the intricate Germanic animal and human motifs. Housed in the Vejle Museum, the horns offer a tangible connection to Denmark's Iron Age artistry and mythology.
