The Temple of Augustus is a well-preserved Roman temple located in Pula's central forum, built between 2 BC and AD 14 to honor Emperor Augustus. Its elegant Corinthian columns and intact pediment showcase Roman architectural mastery. Inside, a small museum displays stone inscriptions and artifacts from Pula's Roman past. The temple survived centuries of change, including a bombing in World War II, and was later reconstructed. Today, it stands as a symbol of Pula's ancient heritage, offering visitors a direct connection to the Roman era in the heart of the modern city.
