The Arch of the Sergii is a well-preserved Roman triumphal arch built between 29 and 27 BC to commemorate three members of the Sergii family, a powerful local clan. Visitors can admire its ornate Corinthian columns and intricate reliefs depicting mythological scenes. Located near the city's ancient gate, it offers a tangible connection to Pula's Roman past and is a favorite spot for photographs, especially at sunset when the stone glows golden.

Don't miss

  • Examine the detailed frieze showing a chariot race and battle scenes.
  • Note the inscription honoring Lucius Sergius Lepidus, a tribune in the Roman army.
  • Walk through the arch to imagine entering Roman Pula as ancient citizens did.
