Stari Grad Plain is a cultural landscape on the island of Hvar, near Bol, that has been continuously farmed for over 2,400 years. The plain preserves the original land division system (chora) laid out by Greek colonists in the 4th century BC, with stone walls and pathways still defining the fields. Visitors can walk or cycle through the patchwork of vineyards, olive groves, and lavender fields, observing ancient dry-stone shelters (trims) and Roman-era structures. The site offers a tangible link to the past, where the same geometry of land plots continues to shape agriculture today.
