Drakonjina špilja, or Dragon's Cave, is a natural cave on the southern coast of Hvar island, close to the village of Murvica. The cave has been used by humans since prehistoric times, with artifacts from the Neolithic and Bronze Age, as well as medieval hermit cells and Glagolitic graffiti carved into the walls. The cave is set into a steep cliff overlooking the sea, offering dramatic views. Visitors must hike a rocky trail to reach the entrance, where they can see the remnants of stone walls, a small altar, and inscriptions left by 15th-century monks. The site combines natural beauty with layers of human history.
