It's a nice hotel with a great location. A big shopping mall is 10 minutes walking, and two metro stations are nearby as well. The room was spacious and modern. There's also a pool, gym and sauna. I didn't try these facilities though. I'll probably stay here again should I crossed paths with this city.
Very good hotel with an excellent location. Rooms are in very good condition and very ample. Staff is very friendly even if most don't speak any English. Breakfast buffet is very good. Definitely an excellent option if you are visiting Suzhou.
I went to this restaurant for the first time this Sunday, the restaurant is elegant and quiet, it is a nice place for a dinner with friends. We choose the Beijing duck and it was really good they also have a good preparation in front of us. The other food was also good. What was not so good was the service, we went there at 7, all started well but after 7:30 nobody was taking care of the customers. There were few people and 2 waitress just spend time to talk eachother and watch the phone. We had to call them for removing the empty dishes, to change our plate, to give us something to drink. Sometimes they were so busy to talk eachother that they can even not hear us, we have to stand up and go to call them. Things were even worst around 8pm (do not know what time the restaurant close) but while we were eating nobody was there anymore, they just prepare for the day after, I can understand people want to go home early but I think they should care for the people that were there (not only us). So at 8 restaurant basically is closed. NOTE: never happen to me before that the guy in the parking lot outside the hotel require to take picture of your green code. In all the other restaurants, hotels, shops and so on only need to show.
As the Chinese restaurant in the Renaissance hotel, it is appropriately elegant. Service is good, the menu extensive and English is understood. Yet, in a town with superb restaurants, Wan Li was a disappointment. The dishes we ordered were rather uninspired, and lacked flavor. Prices are high for Suzhou: you get a nice cup of tea for $10.-.
